We're back in person!


I am very pleased that LAG are now able to return to their Wednesday afternoon activities after a long absence due to Covid. One of our first sessions was helping the Portable

Antiquities Scheme (PAS) sort a donation of six box’s of fragments of Roman pottery and tile.

We are grouping them by type (samian, greywares, colour coated wares etc.) and then splitting them into further sub-groups (rims, bases or body sherds). There are some lovely pieces and it was a pleasure to handle them.

We were also able to welcome a new member and even managed a cup of tea in the sunshine.
